The main objective of the project is to give continuity to the Natura Network in the area surrounding the Santomera reservoir, to reinforce the population of Periploca angustifoia (catalogued as vulnerable) which is at the limit of its distribution inland, as well as other species of special interest. The team is made up entirely of volunteers who dedicate their free time to this non-profit work. The project currently covers an area of 7 ha with a total of 3,000 individuals. However, it aspires to obtain additional funding to cover a much larger area than the current project, reaching 230 ha, as well as to develop other projects in the design phase.
