Project executed by ARBA Cartagena in the Regional Park of the Sierra de la Muela, Cabo Tiñoso and Roldán. The main objective of the project is to transform the degraded farmland around the Rentero house into a biodiverse forest of Iberian Phoenix, with the introduction of climax species and other companion species of different habitats of potential community interest in the area, reminiscent of the old palm grove that existed in the area until the 1980s. The project intends to plant 5000 trees and shrubs in an area of 10 ha, to obtain as a final result a complex forest unique in the Levant, of high ecological and landscape value, generator of food and shelter for the local fauna and resistant to the climatic conditions of the area. The human team is made up entirely of volunteers who dedicate their free time to this non-profit work.
