The aim of the project is to create an ecological corridor between the mouth of the river Foix and the Catalan coastal range, along a fertile inhabited plain in the region of Cubelles, Barcelona. This will be achieved by planting oaks in the coastal mountains where there is more woodland, land stewardship for the restoration of deciduous forest and the planting of indigenous shrubs to improve biodiversity on the alluvial plain, tree nurseries and planting in urban areas and restoration of dunes and seagrass meadows on the coast. So far, 2.5 hectares have been planted with 4,000 trees and shrubs.
